Locals describe how the cave temple’s inside flooded
Residents of the area described how water flooded into the Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple. The water level had started to rise and has almost reached 10 to 12 feet, one resident informed ANI.
“The water entered the cave at approximately 4:45 a.m. Later, when the water level began to rise, it reached 10–12 feet. The ‘Shivling’ was above the water. We found our route somehow, and we ascended with the rope’s assistance,” he continued.
Another resident told ANI that the temple had suffered significant damage as a result of the powerful water flow. “The temple has sustained significant damage as a result of the numerous logs that came floating due to the high water flow… Everyone should avoid the water in this situation,” the local advised.
