Delhi LPG Murder: In Delhi’s Timarpur, a forensic science student who enjoys crime shows and her ex-boyfriend, an LPG distributor, devised a fatal scheme to murder the former’s live-in partner. To deceive investigators, the crime scene was staged using ghee and alcohol as fire.
On Monday, the police released disturbing details and made arrests in connection with the alleged October 6 murder, which made the headlines. After the victim, a candidate for the UPSC, allegedly recorded non-consensual, obscene videos of the woman and more than 15 other women. Delhi police said that the murder was a retaliation plot.
How was the body found?
On October 6, local police and fire personnel raced to the scene after receiving information about a fire on the fourth floor of E-60 in Gandhi Vihar, Delhi. Police and forensic experts discovered a burned corpse at the scene after the fire was put out. The body was transferred to the Hindu Rao Hospital’s mortuary. Ram Kesh Meena, a 32-year-old resident of the aforementioned residence, was identified as the deceased.
An inquiry was then underway after police filed a case under many BNS sections. Two people entered the building on the intervening night of 5-6 October with covered faces. Information according to the police’s analysis of CCTV footage from the day of the fire.

After 39 minutes, one of them exited the premises, and at approximately 2:57 am, a girl, later identified as Amrita Chauhan, was spotted exiting the building with a guy. Shortly after these three people exited the building, the fire started.
Hard disk containing obscene videos
The investigation took a turn after a hard drive was found in the flat. It contained obscene videos of over 15 women. It seems that the deceased recorded their private videos on his laptop and did the same with several women. The hard drive had been confiscated, but the laptop has not yet been found. The police officers informed the media.
To identify the women and to determine whether the recordings were made voluntarily or without consent, forensic specialists are reviewing the material. Police warned that new accusations of voyeurism and invasion of privacy might be brought if the results were different.
