In relation to the death of Yuvraj Mehta, 27, who drowned when his SUV slid into a water-filled trench constructed for construction, a builder has been taken into custody. One of the proprietors of Wishtown Planners Pvt Ltd, Abhay Kumar, was taken into custody by the police on Tuesday. While Manish Kumar, the other owner, is being sought. In Noida’s Sector 150, a 20-foot-deep pit was excavated in 2021 to build a mall’s basement. But it had been filled with water since the following year. Mehta, a 27-year-old Gurugram worker, was driving home to Sector 150 on the evening of January 16 when his car slid into a deep, water-filled pit close to an under-construction site. Despite calling for help for almost two hours, he passed away.

He emphasized that every effort should be made to stop similar tragedies from happening anywhere in the state.
