Russia-Ukraine War Updates: According to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had a “positive call” on Monday. She wrote on X, “President Trump has concluded a positive call with President Putin concerning Ukraine.

President Trump and President Putin had a fruitful phone conversation about Ukraine.

This follows Trump’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. It did not result in a clear breakthrough. However, according to Bloomberg, the US President commended what he called “getting a lot closer” following his conversation with the Ukrainian leader. He acknowledged that therewas no set schedule and that it might take several weeks to finish. The peace deal was “90% agreed,” according to Zelensky on Sunday.
