Season 3 Trailer of Only Murders in the Building

Only Murders in the Building quickly fills us up on this season’s well-known murder victim. Ben Glenroy, even though we knew very little about him before his passing in the Season 2 finale. Flashbacks paint a picture of Ben as an action star who tried to switch to the stage in order to be taken more seriously. Ben is best known for the CoBro films and the TV series Girl Cop. He joins forces with Oliver for a revival of the absurd murder mystery play Death Rattle, in which a child is the main suspect.

Ben’s casting attracted initial excitement, but rehearsals quickly turn sour when it becomes clear that he can be a grade-A jerk. It made it seem as though everyone connected to the production might have a purpose. Was stage naivete and power player Kimber (Ashley Park) to blame for his demise? Was it Howard, Oliver’s feline-obsessed new assistant (Michael Cyril Creighton)? Or was it newcomer Loretta (Meryl Streep)? An ambitious actress who was ready to receive her big break on stage after years of being turned down? The number of suspects grows even longer as fresh homicidal strategies and hints emerge at every turn. One thing is clear as soon as the mystery begins. Rudd is having a blast playing up Ben’s diva character and successfully balancing it.
