Peddi Movie Box Office Collection; Crosses Rs. 200 Crore Mark

The Telugu movie Peddi maintained its strong grip on the Telugu states, earning approximately Rs. 15.75 crore at the Indian box office. Out of the number, APTS made approximately Rs. 12.75 crore. At around Rs. 198.50 crore, the five-day running total is slightly under Rs. 20 crore. After surpassing the Rs. 150 crore threshold, the Telugu states are currently vying for the Rs. 200 crore milestone. It seems like it will be surpassed during the second weekend.

Monday’s decline from Friday was almost 50%, with the Telugu states doing even better with a decline of less than 50%. Coastal Andhra districts once again performed the best. With an amazing Rs. 6.75 crore on a Monday, a mere 38% decrease from Friday. Pushpa and Kalki 2898 AD, which were both somewhat less than Rs. 6 crore, were much behind Monday in these areas. Both Ceded and Nizam had strong holdings.

Thanks to the districts of Coastal Andhra, Peddi is on track to perform BLOCKBUSTER business in the Telugu states. Karnataka has performed fairly well elsewhere, but it is disappointing everywhere else. The production costs of the movie are likewise high. Even while the producers have protected themselves by selling the distribution rights to independent distributors, some of them may suffer significant losses. They’re going to face losses abroad. All things considered, it’s not yet a lost cause since we need to see how it turns out.

The Peddi Dispute

Scenes with Janhavi Kapoor have also drawn criticism for the sports drama. On social media, a large number or spectators condemned the movie. They pointed out that they objectified her character. Director Buchi Babu Sana expressed regret and promised to change the offending scenes in response.

“As a filmmaker, I think films should inspire, amuse, and engage viewers. Nobody should ever feel insulted or uneasy because of it. We’ve heard criticism about specific situations in Peddi, we’ve taken it seriously. It was never our desire to objectify or denigrate any female character. I’ve always had a great deal of regardi for women, both on and off screen,” he said.
