On Monday night in Delhi, the driver and conductor of a sleeper bus are accused of raping a woman inside the vehicle. The two suspects have been taken into custody, according to police authorities with knowledge of the case, who made this unnouncement on Thursday.
The survivor lives with her family in a slum cluster in Pitampura and works at a factory in Mangolpuri. She was returning home from work when the event occurred close to the B-block bus stop in the Saraswati Vihar neighbourhood of North West Delhi, according to the police.
In her FIR, the woman claimed to have taken an e-rickshaw for a portion of the trip before continuing on foot. She claimed that a sleeper bus stopped close to the bus stand at around midnight. When she asked a man nearby the bus about the time, he gestured her to approach him.
The victim claimed that when the bus was travelling in the direction of Nangloi, two guys sexually abused her. The accused left the women behind when the bus finally came to halt close to the Nangloi metro station.

According to the new agencies, the woman was walking home after work on May 11th as usual. That’s when a sleeper bus arrived at the Saraswati vihar bus stop.
The woman was allegedly forced into the bus after approaching a man at the door to enquire about the time. The accused then allegedly drove the bus to Nangloi. Nangloi is identified as the site of the alleged sexual assault, according to the police.
The woman is married and has three children, according to the police. Following her medical check, the accused were taken into custody and the formal complaint was filed.
The case is being looked into further.
