According to sources, former Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai is about to quit the party and start a new organisation. Annamalai had been leading the BJP’s campaign in Tamil Nadu for a number of years. He has been regarded as the party’s future in the southern state. His abrupt departure is the result of years of conflict characterized by conflicting goals, shaky alliances, electoral failures, and a wideening gap between his and the central leadership’s agendas. The events leading up to this year’s Tamil Nadu Assembly elections may have been the IPS officer-turned-politician’s last push.
According to sources who spoke with the media, Annamalai has rejected every offer made by the central leadership of the BJP. According to the reports, he plans to launch a party that will take a stronger patriotic stance. It will also reject the Dravidian political model.
On Tuesday, in New Delhi, he met with Nitin Naveen, the national president of the BJP, and BS Santosh, the party’s General Secretary. In the meeting, he asked for a cordial exit from the BJP.
Has Annamalai left the BJP?

Growing rumours concerning Annamalai’s political destiny preceded his meeting with naveen and Santosh. A number of people on social media asserted that he had officially left the BJP,. They also said that he is now preparing to form a new political organisation.
Additionally before Annamalai’s birthday on June 4th, posters with phrases like “Our leader, come and lead us” were display around the city’s main thoroughfares.

But according to reports reported by ANI, on Tuesday, K Annamalai “has not yet formally rendered his resignation”.
K Annamalai will hold a press conference in Tamilnadu tomorrow at the day after tomorrow. The sources told ANI.
Two senior BJP figure also claiming that they were not aware of his intention to quit the party.
