The film “Sam Bahadur,” starring Vicky Kaushal, hit cinemas on December 1. The movie, which has made ₹33.15 crore at the global box office, is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, a valiant former Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army.
In three days of its release, the movie reportedly brought in ₹25.55 crore net in India. On Sunday, the third day of its release, the movie brought in ₹10.3 crore at the Indian box office. The movie made ₹9 crore on its second day, bringing its opening weekend total to ₹19.3 crore. In its first day of release, the movie brought in ₹6.25 crore.
On December 3, the Vicky Kaushal film achieved an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 56.33%. In a post on X, cinema trade expert Sumit Kadel provided Sam Bahadur’s box office collecting figures and stated that the movie did well at the box office even after a conflict with the release date of the Ranbir Kapoor picture “Animal.”
In an X post, a film trade analyst indeed said, “SamBahadur continues to remain strong, even in the face of a cyclone named #Animal. Riding on positive word-of-mouth, the business however observed a rise on Days 2 and 3 of day-wise growth, primarily at major metros.” “A solo release would have benefited the film tremendously, since #Animal has eroded,” he continued. If this conflict had not occurred, the weekend numbers would have been greater than they are now.”

Sam HFJ Manekshaw, MC, the first Field Marshal of India and a great Army General, is honoured by Sam Bahadur. His distinguished career altered India’s frontiers, from the Burma campaign during World War II to the Sino-Indian War and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 that resulted in the creation of Bangladesh. The film tells the story of the colourful life of this tough officer who his subordinates called “Sam Bahadur.”
