The politician also tied a rakhi on Big B’s hand in honor of Raksha Bandhan. The entire family left the house to say goodbye to her after the meet and greet.

Bachchan received an invitation to attend the Kolkata International Film Festival’s (KIFF) opening ceremony in 2022. She had pushed for his nomination for India’s highest civilian honor at the occasion. “We will raise this demand to honor Amitabh Bachchan with the Bharat Ratna award for his contribution to Indian cinema for such a long time,” she added, adding that it wasn’t done formally.
