Mamata Banerjee Ties Rakhi to Amitabh Bachchan, Expresses Gratitude to Family

The West Bengal chief minister arrived in Mumbai on August 30 and proceeded to Bachchan’s home Jalsa since he had asked her for tea. Including Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Aaradhya Bachchan, she met with the complete Bachchan family. The politician also tied a rakhi on Big B’s hand in honor of Raksha Bandhan. The entire family left the house to say goodbye to her after the meet and greet.

To attend the third meeting of the opposition front, I.N.D.I.A., Mamata is at the hub of commerce. Between August 31 and September 1 is when it will happen. Bachchan received an invitation to attend the Kolkata International Film Festival’s (KIFF) opening ceremony in 2022. She had pushed for his nomination for India’s highest civilian honor at the occasion. “We will raise this demand to honor Amitabh Bachchan with the Bharat Ratna award for his contribution to Indian cinema for such a long time,” she added, adding that it wasn’t done formally.
