Selena Gomez has stated that she wants to choose a career path at this time in her life. The singer-actor stated that she wants to prioritize her acting career above her singing career in a recent interview with the SmartLess podcast.

“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting,” stated Selena Gomez. She may be featured in Selena + Chef, an American television culinary show, and the Emmy-nominated series Only Murders in the Building.
In her spare time, Selena—who also runs the Rare Beauty beauty line—continues to release singles and compose music. Aside from her hectic schedule, the actor-singer has also been in the headlines ever since she revealed in December of last year her relationship with music producer Benny Blanco.
Selena also stated, according to a Billboard article, “I wanted to be an actress, I never really intended on being a singer full-time but apparently that hobby turned into something else…,” during her interview on the SmartLess podcast, which is hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes. I began to truly like making music and traveling was much more enjoyable. However, I continued since I was working on Wizards of Waverly Place, my TV show, because I was having so much fun with it. However, as I become older, I feel that I would like to have a stable career.”
