Tirupati Laddu Controversy: To Declare Faith Before Entering

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday asked that former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy disclose his religion before entering the Tirumala temple during his scheduled visit on September 28. This demand came amid a boiling controversy surrounding Tirupati Laddu. According to sources, Tirupati Laddus were prepared using animal fats during Reddy’s administration, as asserted by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

The state president of the Andhra Pradesh BJP, Daggubati Purandeswari, stated, “Non-Hindus must submit a declaration at Vaikuntam queue complex before darshan, per Andhra Pradesh Revenue Endowments, Rule 16, and TTD General Regulations Rule 136.” The BJP leader insisted that before starting his Tirumala darshan. Jagan Reddy presented the declaration at the Garuda statue in Alipiri.

We have been informed that on the 28th of this month, Jagan Mohan Reddy plans to visit Tirumala. Declaring one’s faith has been a popular ritual in Tirumala for many years. Before receiving darshan in the faith form, non-Hindus are required by G.O. MS NO-311 of AP Revenue Endowments-1, Rule No. 16, to make a declaration at the Vaikuntam queue complex. This also complies with Rule 136 of the TTD general regulations. The BJP requires that Jagan Reddy make his profession of faith at the Garuda statue in Alipiri, even before he starts climbing Tirumala, she stated.

TN Dairy charged for adulteration of ghee

In the midst of the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam scandal. AR Dairy Pvt Ltd, situated in Tamil Nadu, is the target of a case filed by Tirupati Police. TTD filed an official complaint with Tirupati East police on Wednesday. Claiming that AR Dairy had provided ghee tainted with animal fats and vegetable oils. Although AR Dairy refuted the allegations. TTD stated in their grievance that an NDDB laboratory report verified the presence of animal fat in the ghee meant for laddu prasadam preparation.

P Muralikrishna, general manager of TTD’s procurement department, stated that after three notices were given, the diary representatives responded on September 4th, refuting any adulteration.
