Vadodara Car Crash: Woman Killed by 20-year-old Law Student

Vadodara Car Crash: A woman was killed instantly and four additional people were injured after a fast automobile driven by a 20-year-old law student crashed with their two-wheelers in Vadodara, Gujarat, early Friday, as reported by police. The event occurred at 12:30 a.m. near Muktanand Crossroads in the Karelibaug region. According to PTI, Rakshit Chaurasiya, the driver, was arrested following the crash.

It could be a case of drunk driving, as bystanders who saw Chaurasiya at the site told police he appeared drunken and was screaming “another round, another round” after exiting the automobile, according to the official.

The deceased woman has been named as Hemali Patel, who was riding her scooter when the accident occurred. Chaurasiya is originally from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He is a law student who lives in a PG here, Momaya told reporters.

Police filed charges against Rakshit Chaurasia

The Gujarat police said they have filed a complaint against the person being charged under the Motor Vehicle Acts, and the forensic team is gathering evidence while the inquiry proceeds. “With the exception of clauses under the Motor Vehicle Acts, we have registered a case of culpable homicide that does not constitute murder. “Police and forensic teams collected both physical and material evidence,” the authorities stated.
