Acer introduced its Chromebook Plus 14 and Chromebook Plus 15 laptops in India, a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, on Aug. The laptops will come with the latest in-built Google Gemini AI abilities and run on top of Intel Processors alongside fine-tuning at AMD.

The Plus series laptops will be up for grabs via Acer exclusive stores, the Acer online store, Croma and Vijay Sales retail chain (including croma.com), and other multi-brand outlets with an authorized offline presence in southern India as well on Amazon & Flipkart.
What To Expect
Chromebook Plus 14: The Chromebook comes in two versions, one with an Intel Core i3-N305 processor and the other with AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs. Chromebook Plus 15 is now fueled by the Intel 13th Gen Core i7-1355U. Regardless of the CPU selection, all options can be equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR5X SDRAM and an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD as large as twice storage (512GB).
These pack a 53Wh 3-cell Li-ion battery with uniform charging support. The Chromebook Plus 14 provides a battery life of up to 11 hours, and the Chromebook Plus 15 offers 10 hours on a single charge, Acer claims.
They also come with Google AI-powered writing assistance, generative wallpapers, and video call backgrounds powered by AI. Similarly, Chromebook Plus laptops contain Dual DTS Speakers with optimized bass and treble frequencies as well as two micro-board microphones; this creates a video calling system that also comes equipped with an FHD (1920×1080 resolution) webcam containing Temporal Noise Reduction along High Dynamic Range support to combine for full 60frames per second of 1080p image capture.
Both the Plus 14 and 15 offer Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity as well. The company says all models come with a discrete H1 Trusted Platform Module (TPM) for secure access, camera shutters for privacy, and Kensington lock slots.
The Plus 14 is maxed out with a slightly larger 14-inch FHD IPS display than the model I tested at Best Buy, which was limited to an HD panel. These laptops run Google apps and feature AI functionalities such as Google Photos Magic Eraser, File Syncing support for clipboard sync, etc., apart from Adobe Photoshop on the web.
