Apple iPhone appears to be eyeing Apple Intelligence, its upcoming artificial intelligence feature set, as a tentpole selling point for the iPhone 16 series.
Training for Apple Retail Employees
Apple has already informed its retail employees that they will be trained for these functions. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicated this on social media platform X, the artist formerly known as Twitter.
When Will Apple iPhone Intelligence Features Be Available?
Gurman’s report also adds that Apple has asked all retail employees to work this Thursday, September 12th, a departure from its more traditional pre-launch meetings held on Sundays. The iPhone 16 series is expected to go live in September.
If the claims are valid, Apple’s retail employees may have some convincing to do since, according to Mac Rumors sources, these features will not be offered initially when sales of new iPhones running iOS 18 if precedent proves accurate begin.
The features are expected to be released in iOS 18.1, which should arrive sometime during October. However, these features may not all be available in iOS 18.1. Even back then, Apple said some technology would only go live towards year-end or early into full availability as the infrastructure was set up globally.
