ASUS Launches AI Laptops

Asus, the Taiwanese electronics brand, announced a wide range of laptops in India today, starting from its gaming to consumer lineup. The Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand debuted with ROG Zephyrus G16 and ROG TUF Gaming A14 laptops. Other new releases were the Vivobook S 14 OLED, Zenbook S 16 OLED, and ProArt PX13 in their consumer line. On the other end of this spectrum, to some satisfaction, no doubt, though not without its criticisms, are Microsoft and Google with vastly smaller machines… mere quadrillions of operations for each one. They were powered by AMD’s new Ryzen AI 300 series processors, including a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of performing up to 50 trillion operations per second (TOPS) handling artificial intelligence workloads.

ROG Zephyrus G16: Details

Under the hood, the ROG Zephyrus G16 is driven by a flagship AMD Ryzen XI 9 HX processor, which can be configured with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX X070 GPU. The phone has an OLED screen with a QHD+ resolution and refreshes at 240Hz. It is 25 percent thinner than its forerunner and has an all-new Aluminium CNC unibody design. The laptop runs on a 90Wh battery, and Wi-Fi 7 support is there, which is the default part of the latest SOC configuration. It also includes USB 4 Type-C ports and a full-sized UHS-II SD card reader.

ROG TUF Gaming A14: Details

It has the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with onboard Radeon M VGPU and is available for users to equip an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060. The laptop features 32GB LPDDR5X dual-channel RAM and up to a 2TB M.2 Gen4 SSD for storage. This laptop has a 14-inch display that offers 2.5K resolution and supports up to 165hz refresh rate. Coming to the ASUS ProArt PX13 unit features an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU. The laptop is said to combine power with portability, weighing 1.38kg and just 15.8mm thick; however, I will wait until the benchmarks roll in before making such a statement myself! The touch display is ASUS Lumina OLED, which comes in a 13-inch size with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 3K at Pantone validation for color accuracy. AMD Ryzen drives the ASUS Zenbook S 16 OLED AI 9 HX 370 with up to the LPDDR5X Z-ram, up to GB, and an NVMe SSD. This 16-inch laptop with an ASUS Lumina OLED display offers QHD resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate is also certified for VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black color production.
