Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned on Saturday due to pressure from the Cockroach Janta Party’s large-scale demonstration and the Congress-led Opposition’s persistent posture. It was a significant shift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s long-standing strategy of supporting ministers who are under political pressure.
When the resignation is officially accepted, it will be the first time in Modi’s 12 years as prime minister that a Union cabinet-rank minister has resigned while expressly accepting responsibility for a significant governance crisis.
Senior BJP leader Pradhan announced his resignation in a public letter on Saturday. He has held ministerial positions since 201edical entrance exam controversy from ruining students’ futures. He also mentioned preventing “anti-national forces” from taking advantage of the situation.
CJP puts a stop to the protest
After the resignation, the CJP declared they are ending their countrywide protest. They announced this on Saturday, July 25. This protest is ending after its month-long agitation over the purported NEET paper leak.
CJP Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das announced the results of negotiations with the government. He stated that the movement is being stopped on the assumption that commitments will be fulfilled on time. “Cockroach Janta Party declares that we withdraw the agitation in good faith. It is done with the understanding that the agreed-upon terms will be executed within the agreed-upon timelines,” he stated.
Government agrees to retract FIRs against nationwide protesters
Saurav Das also provided an update on the CJP’s second fundamental demand, which relates to the legal actions taken against protesters. “Our second demand was the withdrawal of all FIRs against the demonstrators, not only in Delhi but in other states controlled by the BJP and its allies. This was our second requirement as well. He said, “The administration has also agreed to that requirement.
Officials have assured Das that the procedure will go swiftly and openly. “In addition, the withdrawal will be completed soon. According to our most recent information, 15 to 20 FIRs were filed in Delhi. The government has promised to disclose copies of all the FIRs filed, and we should receive those documents in three to four days. He said, “The government has also promised that the withdrawal will be completed soon.”
