CJP’s “School Thik Karo” Campaign Faces Violence from Locals

This week, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) team was perportedly driven from the Bagru Assembly Constituency in Jaipur Rajasthan. The violence was carried ofy by the residence of the area. Ashutosh Ranka, the CJP spokesperson, was allegedly “attacked BJP goons” in Rajasthan, according to CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke.

The event happened when Ranka went to a government school in Jaipur’s Rampura Kanwarpura area with a team. He stated the school had been running under a buffalo shed for a number of years. On August 15, the CJP began its ‘School Thik Karo” campaign.

The CJP activists, including co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka, were forced out from the area when a fight broke out between them and the villagers. Sources were informed to the media.

‘BJP involved’

“One volunteer had a shattered arm” According to Mr Ranka. He said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party had invited in the attackers. “We had reported on trip to Rampura Kanwarpura to the police. The police aware of stone painting in the vicinity but did not intervene,” he told the journalists after leaving the village.

The school building had before been ruled hazardous due to its deteriorating state and shuttered. Currently, classes for pupils are being held in a cow paddok near to the building. “We had inspected the school last year as well…. It was being conducted in a buffalo shed even then,” he said.

The locals, however mentioned that the money for school repair work had already been sanctioned.

What is the “School Thik Karo” initiative?

From his hometown of Santuk Pimpri in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke started the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign last week. He has been advocating for better basic amenities for students and a national social audit for government schools.

According to him, the campaign would get the data on basic amenities in Government schools throughout Maharashtra and other details of the nation.

The CJP intense to offer a standardised assessment form via social media. It enabled locals and parents to post the videos and other school related material in order to report the problems.

Facilities like electricity power, drinking water, separate working restrooms for boys and girls, benches and the standard of mid day meals would all be included by the suggested checklist.
